Hyperspectral Imaging Limited (HIL) is a Canadian based geomatics firm specializing in the collection, processing, and analysis
of remotely sensed data for earth resource, and environmental
applications. HIL has deep roots in the airborne data collection
business. Owner and company president, Herbert Ripley, FRSPSoc has been
conducting aerial photo projects since the early 1980's and airborne
hyperspectral surveys since the late 1980's.
Project work has been
carried out both nationally and internationally for a wide range of
satisfied clients.
Our airborne collection services centre on the collection and
pre-processing of airborne hyperspectral, multispectral, and digital
aerial photography.
HIL owns and operates the casi550
hyperspectral imaging sensor that is
capable of acquiring numerous wavelength bands (visible – near
infrared) at resolutions down to 0.5 m. Correction for cross track and atmospheric
interference are provided according
to client needs.
HIL also provides high resolution digital aerial photography with the Geovantage camera
system which is capable of acquiring both true colour and colour infrared aerial
photography at resolutions down to 0.15 m.
HIL also
provides customized technology training in
Remote Sensing. We provide 1 and 2 day workshops as well as one and two week short courses.
